Maybe if we all manage to mingle without too much carnage, the club may be in a stronger position to press SYP into not moving every future match between us. Obvs we won't be playing them for a while, maybe it'll help when they play Donny next.
Give over, if folk want to go they'll go, if they don't they won't, it's only a football match after all. Lots of people have, quite rightly, other priorities and life quite often gets in the way.
Would I like 37,000 reds there? Yes. Will I lose sleep over there being 25,000 reds instead? No. They're attendance FC, not us. As long as the 11 on the pitch and the coaching staff give it there all, it makes no difference. You reds!
We must have done 25k now, I'd expect a few more tomorrow on pay day so if we haven't we should break 25k. That's more than double our average attendance.
That's why I said if you haven't got a decent enough reason. I know plenty that just aren't arsed and would rather go in town to watch it. I feel like the club have been let down a little. We've simply got to win now or them lot will never let us live it down.
Agree. For many people there's simply no choice - my neighbours - parents, 18 year old student, 10 year scholar reckon that for all 4 to go even with seats in the cheaper categories plus travel costs there will be little change from £600 - they can't afford it! Many families are struggling financially and the last thing anyone should do is be critical of those who would love to go to Wembley but can't afford it. For these families there are more important things than football.
That’s ridiculous tbf. People are entirely free to do what they want. We’ve sold 3 times as many tickets as we have ST holders. Times are tough and it’s an expensive day out, however cheaply you try to do it. Sheffield are a city, we’re not. I completely expect them to be able to sell more than us.
Then I don’t understand why they’ve been released? Sunderland had to get approval from Wycombe for their additional allocation last year, is this us being sold down the shitter…again?!
I think they should discount the wendies tickets. The more people that witness their demise, the better as far as I’m concerned!
If ever there was a post which encapsulates their obsession with being 'massive', it's this one from Pork Talk..."This has got me thinking, realistically, just how big is our fanbase world wide? If we can sell 43k tickets at Wembley with our UK based (majority) fans alone, just how many fans do we have worldwide? 100k? 150k?"
what do you mean ‘sold down the $hitter’? If they’ve been given tickets that haven’t been sold, what’s the problem? Why deprive them of a ticket that would otherwise be an empty seat?
Do you really want be outnumbered by them 2 - 1? They’ve nearly doubled our allocation, it will look a tad daft in my opinion - we should be doing everything possible to win the game, if that means taking tickets away from a very good allocation they already have, so be it. Duff didn’t want a sold out away end in the 2nd leg, it’s no different here for me. I doubt he’d want them taking 44k either…..
https://www.swfc.co.uk/news/2023/may/owls-to-receive-additional-wembley-allocation/ I don't have an issue with it. Just means more glum faces when our young lads run to death dad's army on the big Wembley pitch, with our high press. They will be like Bolton who played at 90MPH at the start of the second half and then were on their feet from it for the last half hour.
