When I go to Banbury I get off M1 at E/M airport take A42/M42 then M40, can be a pain round bottom of Birmingum at rush hour but no problems at other times.
Came here to say this. A42/M42 to M40 is about 50 minutes and the M42 should be fairly quite on a Bank Holiday weekend. From there under 2 hours on the M40 - and it should be quieter than the M1. We all know the Wednesday fans can't count that high!
Setting off at 8 on a coach, would be happy to get there for 1230. How long do people reckon it will take?
Anyone planning to park at Stanmore or Canon's Park stations might want to have a rethink. Both car parks are fully booked according to the various parking sites.
Leaving at 11am on Sunday morning, check into the Premier Inn at Hemel Hempstead West and then planning to spend Sunday afternoon/evening on London with the three I'm travelling with.
Good skills. Although I noticed when planning our journey that getting from Stansted to Wembley is still an utter farce! We're flying off on holiday on Tuesday, stopping over at Stansted after the match. The original plan was to park up at the hotel in Bishops Stortford and get into London somehow. No way! Now parking up at Watford and driving over to Stansted after the game. It means a very limited amount of beer for me, but that's probably very good news for my bank account! ☺️
Neither did I I checked and you can’t. https://www.sabaparking.co.uk/car-park/stanmore-station-car-park-tfl 434 spaces but it does warn it will be busier than normal
For those of you flying in this could potentially cause a delay. Hopefully gets sorted today. Passport e-gates at UK airports down https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-65731795
Official club coaches setting off at 7 which seems a lot more sensible and give time to go to box park Green Man etc and plenty of spare time in case of problems
