…decent penalty saving record with us as far as I can remember. Do we save a sub’ for late on and bring him on if it gets to that stage should we go to extra-time? I think he’s taller than Isted too, more of a dominant frame in goal for a penalty.
Leave it to Duff mate. His decision making has been ok so far. Even taken the squad to today's game to get used to the atmosphere.
Think he learned from the mistake of Schumacher in the Papa John final . Treated it just like any other game, don't think he even took them for a look round and it cost them, rabbits in headlights!
What do you call a decent record. ? Isteds is better but far fewer games. saved 1 In 3. He might have Height advantage. But the one Isted saved was top drawer against Ipswich. Just glad it wouldn't be Walton I think he had ants in his pants at Bolton. Awful.
Walton at Bolton was awful penalty saving they could have still been taking them now and he wouldn't have saved one. I'm happy with whoever duff picks he's done well to get us this far.
No way, in the heat we’ll be playing in, that we’ll get anywhere near the 120th minute without having used all 5 subs.
All the forecasts I've seen for Monday are 17/18 degrees, it's not what I'd call blistering, we will smash them in 90 anyway so won't matter
What a keeper. It's players like him that we pull from nowhere that keep the flame alive at BFC. Was it Preston, the last minute pen save from Neil Mellor even though he'd knackered his leg? Top 3 that I've seen are him, Steele and Watson.
The cooler forecast will hopefully help us. Relentless press is what we need, along with a good start and the first goal.
Penalties? The EFL have deemed that if it gets to 120 minutes Sheffield Wednesday will be promoted automatically as Barnsley are not allowed more than 1 penalty in a season!
Funny that, the Fritzls on Porktalk seem to think it will help them too, on the basis we thought their dads' army players would be towing in the heat
