I think Cotter will be the next Hondermark.

I hope this pre-season he needs consists of sprint training not football training. He’d lose a foot race with Captain Tom Moore round his ******* garden

He looked bad today sadly. Gave the ball away twice completely needlessly. That latest one was ridiculous - about 3 mins of ET left, not sure what he was trying to do but we needed to keeo the ball. Idiot.

Looked as bad today as he has in every game I've ever seen him play. Looked as disinterested as the Huddersfield manager said he was too. Should really be ashamed of his contribution

It would appear the knives are out for the lad but I will trust Duff to work with through the pre season & onwards , experience has taught me not to write players off too early, Norwood is a classic example , after the first month of the season he was written off & has turned out to be superb.

I think Cotter will break into the first team next season and could be the missing piece of the jigsaw. He's extremely raw but he can run at players in a way nobody at Oakwell has been able to since Adam Hammill. He needs a lot of coaching, but I'm sure he'll get it.

As for Russell, I'm absolutely sure that he is capable of offering far more than what we've seen so far, otherwise we wouldn't have signed him. I also trust Duff and the rest of the coaching team to do their utmost to help him thrive at Barnsley.

Russell hasn't really played much. His first game at Oakwell he looked technically right player. I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt, with more game time he may well done goid.

Think Cotter will depend if Williams is here or not.
As for Russell must have something played a lot of games for Corberan.. but we ain't seen it yet.

Can't argue that he's looked poor so far but we've had plenty of midfielders that have needed a consistent run of games before coming good let's hope Russell is another one.

Cotter looks like he could play much further forward than Williams. He's a different type of player. I agree that playing both of them may not work with our current system, but I think if Williams leaves he's the most natural replacement. If he stays, Cotter will hopefully still be a good option to have.

    Totally agree about Russell.

He lacks confidence and decisiveness. The lad clearly has confidence issues - which is why Hudds let him go.

There is a player there though - he just needs to recapture that form.

He’s been a passenger this season.

Sadly, I also have to add Luke Thomas to this list as well. Just not been the same player since he came back back from injury. Lack of pace and not confident - which showed in that late opportunity yesterday. Not bashing him, just think he needs a pre-season again after his big injury.

I’m my eyes, we were down to 8 men when them two came on.

Hopefully a good pre-season sorts them out, as both are good enough for League 1.

I think with having Cotter already here it does open the door for Williams to go.
