What a nightmare. Piss up in a brewery springs to mind. The game finished over seven hours ago and coaches are still arriving back. I dread to think what the latest time someone arrived back in tarn off one will be.

We landed back in Barnsley about 20 minutes ago. Just in the car on the way back to Sheffield.

Ages getting out of the car park, 30mph all the way to Milton Keynes, got off the motorway just after Derby as it was closed, then the coach started playing up. Luckily Yorkshire Rose had a spare at Tibshelf services, so we managed to limp there and swap over. Should be home in 10 minutes all being well. Ready for bed. Put my alarm back an hour for work already.

We got into Barnsley just after midnight. We were all on the coach by about 6pm but didn’t get out of the car park until almost 8pm. My dad had to drop his colleague off and then drive home (probs not home until 1am) and then had to be at work for 6am. I’m still in bed!

When we finally got on the M1 the traffic was crawling so our coach driver went M25 to A1 but missed the A1 turn off, ended up going M11 up towards Cambridge then joined A1 around Peterboro, M18 then M1. Got back to Tarn about quart to 12, thought we'd have been last back after our mystery tour.

How does a professional coach driver miss the turn off for the A1?

Dunno mate.Too much attention to sat nav and not seeing the roadsigns? He did take the turn off just before the A1, just a small road up to a roundabout. Turned round the roundabout back onto the M25 then missed the next junction.
Also took M1, M6, M40 on the way down and stopoed for half an hour at Cherwell Valley services even though none of the passengers wanted to stop. By the time we got there only managed a couple in The White Horse before kick off.

I parked at Queensbury Morrisson's, 2 stops from WP station. Came back the A1 route. Totally clear. Back in Green Moor by 9.30pm.

Exactly this. I cannot understand why more drivers didn't use the A1. It runs adjacent to the M1 with far less congestion and road works .

We left about 10 minutes after the whistle after clapping the lads off. Tube to Watford, car home. We passed 3 Tetleys coaches on the M1 and remember commenting at the time they’d done well to get that far before us.
Home near York around 10pm after dropping my son off at Chesterfield.

Our driver knew his way around. He headed off down some B road and then picked up the North Circular going in the opposite direction to 90% of the traffic. We ended up on the A40, M40 before he turned onto the A43 and picked up the M1 near Northampton. Was home for 11:15 despite taking 2 hours to get out of Wembley.

At least there wasn't a VAR coach driver who missed it as well.

1am when we rolled into Market Gate car park, courtesy of all the various issues mentioned above - not least of which the atrocious parking and dispersal "arrangements" at Wembley.
Big up to the two Travel Xpress drivers on Yorkshire Rose coach 6 for amazing patience and skill in very stressful circumstances. And bearing in mind that after dropping us they had to drive home to Shipley.

Our coach arrived at Wembley pink parking at 9.30am, and got a prime parking spot. Dropped off in town just after 9.30pm
