https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/65749706 Mmmm not quite sure what he means by the impossible, I'm presuming he means beating posh in the previous game. Having the most expensively arranged, experienced side in the league would help too. Maybe just them beating us was.....we certainly had their number this season and took some other help to get there in the end. I will say though good good luck to them though, I have no malice towards them.
I have no malice towards Darren Moore but ...... I also think he will be gone by Xmas as I expect them to struggle next season without a massive overhaul of the squad
TBH, I think either side going up would face a tough season next year so maybe better that they are facing the relegation battle...
Let's be honest, if they get off to a shaky start next season then the "massives" will be calling for him to be gone. I actually thought they looked pretty ordinary yesterday considering the amount of money in their squad. It was long ball after long ball which we dealt with superbly. That style of football won't cut it in the championship.
Yea...really like Daz Moore but he will be again under pressure to deliver. Their squad has been too old for 3 or 4 seasons now and they need legs in midfield and more composure on the ball. I think Duff definitely won the game management side ......with the owls having to go long again to beat our press and thats mainly due to not having the players (Bannon apart) to play through midfield. You could see with several of their players blowing out of their backsides and going down with cramp into extra time, this against 10 men fo the majority of the game. Lincoln and Exeter proved you can play through us if you have the right coaching and players....I guess Wednesday will argue they are promoted though and the other teams are not.
He was getting racially abused 2 weeks ago with fans singing "You're not fit to wear the shirt" I notice their fans have no songs about him. No "We've got super Darren Moore' or "Darren Moores blue and white army" Strange for a promoted team.
Did he mention us at all after the game , no humility, which is surprising from him , Wednesday mentality has obviously got to him
You can bet your life if they start off badly they will be baying for his blood - people don't change.
He's a grand bloke but he talks some right 5h1te. His idea of a fairytale is pretty unique. Goliath slaying David would be my take.
Think he's still on about the Peterborough game. The fairytale in yesterday's would have been luca taking that chance and us winning after our 10 man battle!
Agree, there could only have been one fairy tale yesterday and it was Barnsley, shafted by the ref, with 10 men beating a massively more experienced and expensive team.
Strange to not hear his name sung once all day. I can't think of another Football manager who's got a team promoted and doesn't have his fans chanting for him.
As far as I understand the fans weren’t happy all season, boring football and negative tactics… which we saw yesterday. He isn’t all that liked there having better players, higher paid players for the most part has got them out of jail. He will be sacked by October
Just had the strength to watch the EFL highlights Moore spoke well in his interview after and said some good things about us. He is a decent man. The pundits also unanimously strongly stated it wasn't a sending off and it was a Penalty.
He was potentially 5 seconds away from the sack, can you imagine the fallout if Wednsday had lost the pen shootout. A more fickle and arrogant bunch of fans you will never come across. Darren Moore deserved it, their fans deserved nothing.
They are ordinary, which tbh is criminal considering how much that squad is worth despite being £50m in debt. They'll be down again next year
