4 fouls Smith gave away including that within 20 minutes. 0 yellows

Not too bad tbh, bit of a flap with the arm but not a Morganesque elbow by any stretch. I wouldn't have even considered a card if I had been the ref.

I'm going to start getting pelters after my views on the penalty if I say it wasn't nasty. But it wasn't. It was just a flapping arm that barely made contact.
I've seen yellow cards given for similar on multiple occasions though so he definitely got away with it from that point of view.

They got away with loads without any punishment in that game. If it wasn't Michael Smith constantly barging into our defenders or throwing his arms about when jumping for tackles its Bannan booting the ball away in the first 5 minutes intentionally after the whistle had gone which should've been a yellow. Another player also did that later on again which had to punishment. You had Paterson constantly having a go at the linesman and other players openly pointing and shouting in the refs face but nothing was done about it.

The referee was extremely weak when it came to their players, he let 90% of their fouls and dissent go without question, he failed to give us an obvious penalty and then the debatable red card went their way as well.

    Shafted yet again.
