Wait a minute? Isted returning to parent club? I thought he was out of contact and set to be released. Does this mean we're not signing him? If so, why wasn't Collins returned to the starting line up when fit? This raises so many questions
why does it???? maybe there are a few clubs after him?? Why don’t you want and see, you never know what’s around the corner. Give everyone a bit of time FFS!!!
Possible signing of Larkeche? "I wanted to also thank all of the Reds fans for their support during the year - see you soon.”
Don't know about Harry's contract situation with Luton, but not sure that should have really played into team selection. Play the best players you have available, for me. Especially during a promotion push. Duff obviously just thought Isted was the better keeper.
As far as I know, football contracts usually expire on 30th June. Loan periods run out before that. He is ( presumably ) still under contract to Luton and their future has only just been decided so they may offer him a new deal ?? I think it’s unlikely though
Because Duff felt that Isted was the better option at the time? He was picking a team for this season, not next.
I’d love to see Isted and Thomas Back. And would be happy with Larkesch and Tedic. Not bothered about Watters and Martin though
Very good piece of writing that. Good that our loanees had such a successful time with us this season.
Good to see a mention for Edwards, well done. I'd like to see Isted back and I guess we'll know fairly quickly one way or the other on that given he's out of contract on 1st July. Most of all I'd like to see Bobby Thomas back.
They will all be contracted to their parent clubs till June 30th this year minimum. I think you read too much into it at mo. And quite simply. Isted deserved to keep his place.
I'd love to see Isted and Bobby Thomas return on permanent deals, if that proves feasible. Both have been outstanding for us this season. I'm sure those at the club think the same, bit it's now a question of whether the finances will allow it. Great write up for all of them, and for Oduor too.
Fond memories of all those players. Yes, Martin too, he played well in a couple of cup games. Good luck to them all, not going to read anything into their statements. Wouldn't mind seeing a few of 'em back here next season, but if that's not to be we'll get other good players. Recruitment team still have a lot more hits than misses. We can't afford established quality but we do very good business in players willing to learn and work hard (when Conway isn't fouling the whole thing up).
