Keeping the Duffer was always going to be the most important thing to begin with. And then some other things might fall into place for us, IF he stays, it might tempt one or two others to stay or re-join.
Isted would be a bonus but if not, I hope Collins will be ok with playing again, despite him being dropped.
With Cole and Norwood set to be the front two, should we be looking to push the boat out a bit here, if possible, instead of having Oli Shaw as the next in line.

I would worry if Cole and Norwood are the front 2next season.Cole needs replacing.

Oli Shaw will get his chance pre season but would be very surprised if he was still at the club come end of January, maybe even before the end of summer.

Why are we writing off a player who we've never seen? On paper his stats are pretty good.

I'd expect him to get his chance pre-season, with his future depending on how he performs.

I think we need to sign another striker, but going with Cole, Norwood, Shaw, and A.N. Other at the start of next season with Jalo hopefully knocking on the door of the first team might well be ok.

He got nowhere near the team when Norwood and Cole was knackered and Duff would rather play Thomas up there than him, who’s supposed to be a natural striker. I think Duff has seen enough of him to write him off. Hope I’m wrong and he comes good.

Agree with this. Cole and Norwood don’t need replacing, they just need better competition. From past interviews, Duff hasn’t written Shaw off, and he’s shown with Iseka that he won’t sugar coat it if he thinks a player isn’t in his plans.

A player is only worth what someone is willing to pay & while we all value Connell highly it is highly unlikely that a club will come in with 5 million for a division 1 midfielder , a structured deal with the possibility of on going payments might be offered similar to John Stones but hopefully he is with us again next season & we are not discussing his fee for a while yet.

Wasn't the lad at Notts County mentioned some time ago, Macauley Langstaff, he might be worth a go.

And then his injury healed up, but he didn't get his first team place back, which is why I described it as being 'dropped'.

Really? I’d be more than happy. 30 odd goals between them season just gone, and a bit more time to develop understanding and execute Duffs tactics.

I know I’m in a minority on here but I wouldn’t be shocked if one of them bagged 25 next season. Of course that still wouldn’t be good enough for some. Such is life.

Some Championship clubs looking at him, plus of course Wrexham.
