Hope he can come through it. It sounds like he has plenty of support, but will be down to him in the long run.
Remember when he left us for Blackpool after our relegation, in the summer of '14. I think he was loaned out to Bury or Oldham before that season even ended, and his career seems to have kept going downhill ever since. And its a shame because his potential was there, but it seemed to go 'untapped'.
Such a shame, he was a gifted player but clearly was having problems when he was at Oakwell and didn't fulfil his potential. Hope he can get through it and have a decent life.
It's horrendous for the lad, he had an unbelievable talent but with something missing. Going through lockdown was mind blowing terrible for a lot of us. Hope he finds some solace and more importantly a decent job.
I agree. Me and Laura had George just before lockdown. Not using it as an excuse but it didn't help. Just turned us both into kindred spirits. As soon as lockdown ended she wanted her freedom. I was happy with my lot and proud family man. Doesn't excuse any attitudes or actions by either but makes one think.
Given all the help in the world and multiple chances that others could only dream of and completely failed to take them. I'll reserve my sympathy for those who have genuinely had to struggle without the opportunities for help that he shunned.
