Absolute shambles. My brothers just got a new car and I was going to get him a tax disc holder for it for father's day. Nice one BFC Kids crying etc.
Fat chance of a new shirt for Father's Day. Maybe even for start of season (keep up with developments over the coming weeks...)
Lol. It’s nearly Father’s Day again. Can we just dredge the thread up from last year rather than create another 6 about how it’s ridiculous you can’t get a new shirt for Father’s Day. If anyone had any sense they’d buy shirts a year in lieu so you can buy a shirt in January when they are reduced and hand it over on Father’s Day for them to wear through the summer when the weather is nice.
This is the looking I'm hoping for https://www.nytimes.com/2021/04/28/fashion/kidsuper-wants-to-bring-back-warhols-factory.html
They had to shut the shop and refurbish at some point, timings not ideal but the closer to the season they leave the less money they’ll make. At some point the new shirts will land and they’ll want it ready before then. A little more early notice it’s going to close with fathers day coming up would have helped. Wasn’t the delay with shirts last year down to the international supply chain (?), I’m sure loads of EFL clubs ended up releasing theirs as late as us. M
If the shirts aren't available for fathers day, what you do is write a card and put in it a home made voucher with a nice piccy of Oakwell saying "This voucher entitles <insert name> to one BFC home/away shirt. Happy fathers day xxx Is it that difficult?
I'll stand corrected. Unless summats changed. The club possibly don't do gift vouchers. I seem to remember quite a while ago I couldn't purchase one. As a raffle prize. But I suppose your idea works ok. Might try it next time lol.
It's about getting them the gift for the actual day and getting value for money on something that has a huge mark up on what they will cost to make in Vietnam. Our warm weather season is a few months a year and so you want the kit out ASAP to make the most of it before it's hidden under a jumper and then a coat. If we were Florida based it wouldn't matter as much.
Timing can never be 100% though can it? Always an anniversary or a specific date looming. I would suggest shutting the shop just prior to speak like a pirate day next year. Har har me hearties...
You may be surprised at what clubs actually make from shirt sales. 15% would be a top deal. Varies between 7% and 15%. Getting the kit out asap is what all clubs want from high end manufacturers. But demand means a severe delay for lots.
