Second team since I was a kid. A bit random choice but was cemented when I was lucky enough to go to the 1980 cup final when they beat arsenal. Anybody else have a soft spot for them or have a random second team.?
Nowt wrong with that squire but personally cant see why people have 'second' teams. Barnsley and England for me (I know England are the second team here but you know what I mean). I do like underdogs though and teams that connect with genuine fan base and/or dont tend to cheat but that's another thread methinks.
Had a soft spot for them when I was a kid. Back in the days of Peters, Hurst, Moore, Lampard, Redknapp etc. I hope they win tonight.
West Ham were my team from being able to walk til I was old enough to know better. Bobby Moore was my first hero. Come on you Irons.
Yes. Always liked West Ham. A proper football side back in the day. Maybe not so much now. Club sold out when they moved to the London Stadium. I was only at Upton Park once but it was a good experience.
I don't have a second team, but I do follow the NPL Queensland and Tasmania leagues through the summer, mainly because I study them for my betting league. Would love to see Andy Pengelly get an opportunity over here.
Fiorentina were my “Italian team” in the 90s. Batistuta, Rui Costa, Francesco Baiano, Lorenzo Amoruso… great team. Definitely the better team so far in this match.
Some phenomenal players in that team. I have a Viola scarf in the boot of my car from when I saw them in 2016 - I wish I'd seen them 20 years earlier. Was great to see them in the same stadium though, the Stadio Artemio Franchi.
West Ham fans throwing things at Fiorentina players. Cut one of the Fiorentina players head open so the game has had to be stopped while it gets sorted out. Declan Rice must think he can’t wait to get out.
Something small and red got chucked at Florentinas captain and it looked a right mess. He's got a fetching purple bandage now to match his kit.
