Would be better off to all stay at home then so they never have to make a decision just so they can't continually get them wrong

Have to admit I was thinking more of not making reckless challenges in non-threatening situations which a referee might interpret as dangerous.

Earlier in the season just the same as ours. He saw a player go in and rushed in with the red card. It was overturned on appeal as the fa decided he'd ****** up big time.

And in the Sheffield United fa cup quarter final var overruled him when he hadn't given a penalty for handball.

It's called football. It's a contact sport. Players shouldn't avoid playing football just in case a ref is ****

Don't think I've said they should avoid playing football. But they need to use their brains as well. Duff said as much before the match if you check back.

No, not really. They shouldn’t have ‘gone either way’. They were not 50/50 calls or even remotely close to it. I’ve not seen too many neutrals, within the game or otherwise, suggest either decision was right.

Absolute claptrap. I wouldn’t expect it - and I wouldn’t have even wanted it or shouted for it. It really wasn’t a nasty challenge whatsoever. It wasn’t a red card.

Yeah you’re right. Liam Kitching shouldn’t have gone into their box and won the ball just in case Gregory booted his knee.

And Adam Phillips could have thought about it and should have just gone over the top two footed and ended Gregory’s career as he was going to get sent off anyway…

Using brains is one thing but you can’t legislate for unjust officiating and as much as you don’t agree, both of those incidents were in my eyes completely wrong.

I wasn't particularly bothered about the penalty decision, which I thought could have gone either way, but I thought the red card call was absolutely shocking.

I'd have enjoyed it mightily if the situation were reversed and it had been given for us, but I still definitely wouldn't have agreed with it.

So did we appeal the red card?

    No idea.

Don’t even know if there’s any point, do they issue suspensions for the following season for playoff games? I’m assuming so.

I hope they appeal it if so. Though they might deem there to be little point as another ref looked at it in the var room. Doesn’t make it the right decision so not really relevant.

We appealed Alex Mowatt’s red v Wycombe a couple of years back - to my eye that was a worse challenge - and had it rescinded. That red was coincidentally given by the other shining beacon of high quality officiating that has been promoted to select group one with Robinson - Darren Bond.

Good research...so its clear to see he has a "thing" for that kind of stuff....he's wrong but its his interpretation...tbf, he needs taking to one side as do all the refs for further clarity on this.

Robinson's home referee's association is Brighton RA the same as a certain Mr G Willard who ruined his career at Oakwell and blamed BFC Makes you think? Reffed us four times and 4 red cards i think just coincidence?
