Either him or Tommy Taylor, isn't it? Sadly we'll never know what Taylor could've achieved. Stones is a credit to the town and the club though, absolutely delighted for him.

I do think, sadly, you're right in regards to Taylor. Has to be Stones

Taylor was years before l was born but what a shame, he needs more credibility in the town. No offense but we've got a ******* young un with a kestrel on his arm statue yet Tommy's got a plaque.

    Shameful

Just reading that Everton should be due a further £2.5m from Man City now under the terms of the deal when they sold him. Hopefully if true we’ll get a cut of that as part of our sell-on. 15% was it?

doubt we will. that will have been a contract between everton and city. we've had our cut already, through our contract with us and everton

I may be wrong but I’m sure it was said that according to our deal with Everton, our cut is of anything they receive, at the time of the deal or in future. Be handy if so...

Will depend on how the contract was worded when we sold him. If it was a % of profit, then we’d get a further cut. If it was a % of sale, then probably not. Given reports are only stating a windfall for Everton I’m guessing we get nothing.

We’re supposed to get 15% of any profit they make off of him.

I don’t think he will ever realise how proud we all are of him in this town. Shown kids not only in Barnsley but he whole of the country what is possible.

Football never plays out like this, but hopefully in about 5 years time he comes back here to finish his career at the club where it all started.

If this ever became a possibility I’d hope the club would offer him this, he deserves it.

I was under the impression that this is right. 15% of Everton’s profit, therefore should get a nice little £375,000 bonus

But what do I know lol, one to ask Khaled at the next fan forum thing

I'd be very pleasantly surprised if that were the case. Hope so.

Everton fans not sure there will be a fee because he's signed another contract for man city since his original transfer.

Would've thought that would be irrelevant. Could still be the case that we only get % of original sell on fee though. Fact that no windfall for Barnsley has been reported suggests we're unlikely to get anything

You'd expect we'd get any future proceeds of the sale, including bonuses/clauses, otherwise what would have stopped them for selling him for £1 with a clause they'd get £50m after playing one game.
