I think we can be confident that whenever a Championship Manager post is up for grabs someone will say Duff is a candidate

We shall see, but if they do make an approach I’ll be surprised if he stays with us. Money talks.

Reading some comments from their fans, it doesn't appear that Swansea are particularly rolling in money.

As soon as a rumour appears & is potentially a bad news rumour the doom and gloom merchants are all over it like a rash on here, why not just wait for official news before jumping to conclusions.

Not saying he wouldn’t jump at the chance to be Swansea manager but the one I’d be more worried about is when Bristol City get rid of Pearson that’s the job nailed on for him . Let’s be honest it’s rare for a Barnsley gaffer to stay for 2 seasons anyway even the good ones.

Hope he stays, I get he'll be closer to home & family(maybe) but bite the bullet Mr Duff, tough it out & you'll realise you've a wonderful fan base here. Finish the job, stick with us & I'm
Convinced you will be rewarded. Onwards & most definitely upwards.

Personally given his previous track record re loyalty to the clubs he's either played or managed, then I for one, think he's at bsly for one more season if not more should he get us promoted this coming season ....then I'd hazard a guess he's likely to hang around even longer ....this board of ours have ambition....the Premiership dream is far from over.
Whilst I accept money talks MD has a long contract I believe, and if the board are playing ball then he's got the security of work and doesn't end up on the managerial merry-go-round

It is inevitable that he'll be linked with other jobs; especially those closer to his home base.
I so hope he doesn't get tempted because he is an absolute diamond. Been saying it since his appointment. Perfect fit for our club. He can build his career here if he continues to perform like he did last season. He has spoken about having only had two clubs previously. I pray that he shows the same loyalty to us.
Having said all that, the pull of being closer to his family base will always work against us.

He'll be here until 25/26 at least.

Swansea will put the money on the table and if its a better offer than anybody else, si thi Duffy boyo. Its how football works. Then we'll rebuild again with the new Head Coach, Manager. I hope he stays but we'll see.

He's going, good luck Duff, and thankyou.

The general consensus amongst Swansea fans is that they're unlikely to want to pay the compensation due if they come for Duff, what with him having 2 years left on his deal.

There doesn't appear to be much substinence to the rumour. I'm not convinced he's going anywhere. Fingers crossed its just another championship club to tick off the list of clubs who have filled their managerial post ahead of the new season.

Apparently the Plymouth manager rejected them this week.

I’m not totally convinced he would go if approached but money talks unfortunately

Proper test of our "new" board I'd say. If Duff knows he's backed here for top two next season he should stay. If we're doing the Barnsley dilly-dally then I'd guess he'll follow Hecky Stendle and Ismael.
Leon at the YP reporting it now, not going away until Duff/Club make a decision here

I know money talks, but if I was offered the job after about 3 other people had turned them down before they approached me, I would tell them to politely go away. Sometimes it’s all about job satisfaction rather than the money also
