That penalty England has just been given is absolutely ridiculous btw. Feel for the defender. I understand the trajectory of the ball shifted, but do they want him to chop his arms off pre-match and glue 'em back on afterwards?
Scotland are much improved tbf, won Spain last time out, Wales are not so good, especially without Bale
Maybe I’m just weird but I genuinely want all the UK’s international sides to do well. Scotland are looking decent and are moving in the right direction under Clarke. Wales are in a tough position, they rode the momentum they had through Bales finer years and now they’re almost left in limbo. Some good young English lads coming through though who won’t be good enough for England, but I’m sure they’ll fine a Welsh granny somewhere and opt to play for them. Northern Ireland are impressive, persistently punching well above their weight and play some decent stuff too.
There seems to be some fantastic young talent available for Wales. I don't understand why they're continuing picking the Aaron Ramsey's of the team. It's clearly not working. Losing 4-2 at home to Armenia is really poor. Although I will say I don't think they've had a particularly good coach for many a year.
Wales and Scotland absolutely loved it when we lost in the semis and the final to Italy so Fuk em for me
Ian it's rivalry and it always will be,i used to want Home countries to do well but when you read some of the bile aimed at England i stopped bothering. And yes England fans are as bad.
I agree. Have a laugh. Give a bit of banter and more importantly take a bit of banter. No need for the bitterness. Life is too short.
And what an absolute belter it is. Another scorcher and I have a BBQ this afternoon. Hope you have a similar wonderful day.
The In-ger-lund brigade are the Wednesday fans of international football. They think they have a Devine right to win everything. Because ‘history’. Bang on about how many fans they take away from home. Claim not to be bothered about Scotland and Wales (Tarn and Roth?) but go on about them endlessly and seem more interested in how they are going than their own team. Proper odd bunch. And I’m English by the way!!
Bit of generalising going on there. I follow England and can assure you I don’t talk about numbers neither do my mates from other clubs who I meet up with. Obviously we care about the other home nations particularly when we play them but the games we look forward to most are the ones against Germany. Same as being a reds fan really. You have your biggest game but that doesn’t mean you don’t care about other local rivals.
Actually you are right. It’s not so much the number of fans but a general “aren’t our fans great” vibe. I’m sure (like Wendy to be fair) it’s just a vocal minority.
I expected nothing less. Got to say I’m very proud of the team. We seem to have hit a very good run of form.
