Money talks, I think he is more or less gone with some of the journos he are calling it look pretty reliable. Unless he decides its not for him. We just need to keep to the same style of recruitment and same style of play and not like when we replaced val with schopp. We either promote from within or get wilder in, plays with wing backs knows the league.
I honestly thought Duff would give it one more season with us to try and take us up and if he didn't succeed then move on, however, given the amount of outlets that are now reporting the Swansea approach and advanced talks between the clubs going well then in my opinion he's going to move on. Personally I hope he tells them to **** off!
Don't think so. A few weeks ago, someone said a 'Mr. Duff' had bought a house in Cawthorne according to Rightmove or summat. But nothing to say it was actually him. As far as I know.
Barnsley Managers “ All I want is time and the support from the board and the fans.” Also Barnsley managers ……..<gone>……….
New coach.. if he does well gets poached for a 'bigger club' better job. If he's poor and near the bottom then gets sacked. So unless we are mediocre mid-table we have another one season manager next season. Watch the gates fall if we are mid-table
If he leaves then **** happens, we’ll be reight, in the grand scheme of things there’s more important things in life than a manager leaving Barnsley
Id hate to be on twitter all the replys are Wednesday fans gloating. Probably calling Darren Moore all sorts a month ago
Pretty much the size of it. I'm not sure gates would fall much though. Our attendance has been remarkably consistent over the last 50 years or so.
Doubt it. Whatever this 'big news' is, I reckon it just isn't ready to confirm yet, for whatever reason. However if Duff goes, I think we might see any comms go on the back burner until even more important business is sorted.
He'd be out of his mind to go to Swansea, another good season with us and he's either promoted with us or walking into a top 10 Championship club. Swansea because of their 7 year stay in the Prem believe that is their rightful position, if they are not top 6 by Xmas, which they haven't a prayer of achieving, they'll sack him.
Maybe we're more like Luton than the other clubs he's gone to though? I reckon we could do worse. As to Duff, I'd see him as a quitter, he's failed to get us out of league 1. Really hope he sees the job through.
Usually, id disagree with this quitter stuff when taking a job higher up. But since its only been 1 season, given how much he mentions his loyalty to only 2 clubs throughout his career before joining us, then mentioning about how he sees himself staying because he's bought into the project here, id be utterly disappointed with him, especially to Swansea. Now if it was to a Premier league club or a club you'd expect to finish in top echelons of championship then perhaps, but not Swansea, not yet.
Just hope we don't find another schopp and waste most of our budget on 2 lazy bustards who are injured.
