I reckon we'll still have a successful season. Great squad, financially sound, hopefully no freak points tallies like last year. A bit of professionalism is needed from BFC now
Agreed. All the usual ingredients needed. Sensible manager appointment, proper recruitment. It’s also essential that Duff isn’t allowed to asset strip us like Val did. I think we can probably forget the Isted deal now, but I’m happy enough with Collins. Losing both would be a worry.
Agree, nobody is bigger or better than our club; managers and players come and go but fans are there for life.
Be about 3 weeks till we appoint a manager now anyway knowing us that’s how long it took from sacking Poya to announcing Duff.
Disco and Eaden will hold the reigns. Continuity needed ,continue in the same style and squad . Couple of additions plus bringing the young uns on instead of loans . Play offs acheivable.
At least. They need to go through their long long checklist with all the questionnaires, 6 interviews etc.
Feel pretty down about the impending announcement in all honesty. With Duff here I was convinced that we’d get top 2 but now who knows? I thought we’d have Duff in charge and keep a decent amount of the squad together. Hopefully we can still do the latter. Relies on us again finding a good coach, which has been very much hit or miss in recent seasons, with seemingly no in between.
You would hope that the process started as soon as duff indicated he wanted to speak to Swansea, if he has that is
I feel your pain mate, you definitely won’t be alone. Just remember, it’s Barnsley Football Club you follow, not someone who’s only been with the Club for 58 games. And Barnsley Football Club isn’t going anywhere. We’ll be fine, no one is bigger than the Club.
To be fair, the season was still going when Poya was let go. Nobody was going to come in until the close season. Assuming we stay sensible with his replacement and not find another Schopp, the biggest issue is which players will leave and how will we replace them. Can’t lose Mads and bring in some novice.
