Might be hard to accept for some but we don't get called a tin pot club for nothing you know...

I worked in HR and there could be many reasons why the club haven't gone public. Contractual, want to time his departure with an announcement of our own re new manager, terms agreed but no start date agreed, comp not agreed with Swansea etc......However, I take your point re keeping us fans informed. Its not difficult is it?
As always, there's more that we don't know than we know and it won't all necessarily come out down the line.

ps your points re damage to reputation etc are valid but I would doubt that this issue would be one which would be the catalyst for the parties involved to take legal action.

He did say enquiries were made day after Wembley. But not for who. And stated last week in the Chron. None were made for Duff.
As for Big Mick. I'd have thought more chance of Soft Mick. :)

The only reason I can imagine is that there were terms in his contract, which specifically prevented the Club from communicating any approach. If that turns out to be the case, that's insane, for several reasons. So mad that I can barely imagine it could be true.

Maybe the reason they don’t want to say anything is the potential it could jeopardise the deal?

The club might see this as a result, very rarely clubs get a fee for managers, it’s usually them paying their contracts up. I wouldn’t be surprised if this was the case. It’s not fun for us fans mind.

Just recording a 4 part thing for radio about punk.

TBH it seems relevant to the current situation...

Swansea are on their 4th choice with players back for pre-season on Friday, I doubt they’d go back to square one ‘cos Barnsley announced what was going on.

    I don’t doubt that.

But If those who are in charge have any doubt that an announcement could stop the deal, why would they.

Remember this is the same Barnsley football club operating under the same managing structure under the same board if directors who forced some fans to pay for postage of tickets that they didn't want posting only to change that policy quietly without a word and then flat out refused to acknowledge they had do e it, refused to apologise or even explain what had happened.

Cute words at a fans forum mean **** all when the communication on actual matters is absolutely abysmal and has been for the entirety of Khaleds tenure. Sorry Khaled but it's true. Sort it out.
