Just 8 home wins last season. Over 4 grand for the cheapest seats for a family of 4. Then again, that would pay the weekly wage for about 0.05% of their squad.
Not much of a concession for over 65s then. Perhaps being in the trendy Chelsea/Fulham Village area means they only have sexy young things in the ground for whom a few grand a season is peanuts.
Different world innit. It's all Investment Bankers and Oligarchs that neck o the woods. £3k is pennies
The first time I realised that Fulham were wannabes was that season when they had Bobby Moore, Rodney Marsh and George Best in the team. Obviously they had a First Division pedigree before that with the likes of Johnny Haynes, Alan Mullery and Malcolm Macdonald gracing their pitch but this was a real statement saying “we can be bigger than our neighbours”.
Ive a mate who is a longstanding Fulham Season ticket holder and we were discussing ST pricing only yesterday Apparently you had to put your name down for a seat against a category before they released the pricing. He isnt moving to the new stand and has good seats in the old one but they are still the wrong side of a grand. He is the same age as me and was quite impressed I could get a heavily discounted OAP ticket due to having an ST since before we changed to 65 - He has had his Fulham one for ages at least 30 years probably longer, well before they made concessions 65 but they didnt offer the same deal we did either. And your pre match drinks are double what we pay in pubs near(ish) the ground
