Good win percentage, young and knows the League inside out by the looks. Well within our budget(?)
I'd be happy with that appointment.

Pretty much on the same wavelength as Duff

He can take over from Bobby Thomas on long throws

He would be my choice. Done well everywhere he’s been. Knows the lower leagues well and could maybe find some gems capable of stepping up

Sounds really good. Any idea what style football he plays?

It’s between this guy, Wellens and Simpson for me, all realistic targets, all with promotions and EFL experience, they all have similar CVs to Duff, Simpson is pressing, not sure on Challinor/Wellens style though

His CV is MUCH better than that: -
    • Over 400 games as a player
    • Over 650 games as manager, with an average win ratio of 53%
    • Reached play-offs with every team he's managed
    • Had 6 promotions in 13 seasons

If we're looking for someone who ticks the same boxes that Duff did, I can't see anyone with a better fit.

Get's my vote. I see a lot of people mentioning Wilder and Jones but they are both unobtainable and the latter is a bit of a tosspot. Wouldn't mind Moore but can understand why some are sceptical.

Are you aware of Stockport County's financial situation? Very unlikely we could make him an improved offer.

No I don't tbf. I'm just looking at his criteria. May well be he's not interested, or we can't improve his current terms, or both. Dunno.

Owner at Stockport, local born n bred Stockport fan, multi millionaire, bought them in 2020, in Conf North with a stated intention to be in the Championship by 2027. They're halfway there and one of the favourites to go up this season, after just missing out in the play off final last year.
They have big resources, maybe not quite like Wrexham, but certainly second in that league and more than most in L1.
I don't believe we'd be attractive to Challinor in pay or ambition and in financial backing of the owner. They've a fair chance of beating us to the Championship.

Nice one. I also like the suggestion of Richie Wellens & Chris Wilder.

That can't be possible surely. We are going up this season no matter how well Stockport do in the league below.

If we can’t convince a manager from Stockport County to switch to us then we might as well call it a day chuffing hell!
