Shame was hoping he would stay. Was good last season before injury. I heard he wanted to move closer to home though.
I wish him all the very best. The most important thing is that he’s happy. On a purely footballing level it never really worked for him here. Before his injury I thought we may have finally got the player we hoped for. When he came back I hoped he’d recapture that, but he never did, beyond a couple of glimpses. All the best Luke. I just hope there isn’t yet another pile on.
Best of luck to him. The Luke that scored on his debut against Fulham was brimming with confidence and talent - I have no idea what happened between now and then.
Think this is a shame, was arguably our best player up until his leg break. Get the feeling he’s never felt at home here though. Good luck to him, but that’s a massive backwards step for him.
Think he wanted to be closer to home that's what I heard a few week back saw your post and was hoping he would sign but not to be
So am I. We have paid him for 4 years and had little in return. Hopefully the move there will restart his career.
Best news of the week. I'm sure he's a decent lad but he's been an expensive flop for us. He will he been a decent earner and isn't irreplaceable.
https://www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/2023/june/luke-thomas-returns/ Looks delighted to be back there. Surprised he would want to play again for Barton considering how he behaved towards him.
We struggled quite a bit after his injury for quite some time. Was finally showing some good form. Hopefully this reignites his career
