Luke Thomas told me.. in the 4 years he was here, every manager was told what formation to use, which player to select and a few other things.
Apparently when valerian ismaël was in charge... We were playing a match and someone on the board called the dug out and told valerian Ismaël to replace Romal Palmer.
I was talking to my brother and writing on here.. I can't multi task, I blame it on being a male 100000% haha
Think many clubs are the same these days. They have a philosophy and managers (sorry, head coaches) are expected to stick to it. I know a relative of a recent player at Peterboro who says MacAnthony picks the squad and basically forces managers to play the players he wants to sell on for millions in the future. You can see the logic, if we go out and sign 5 CBs and zero wingers because we play a 352 you don't want a manager turning up who's gonna play 442 with wingers.. But it does stifle the creativity and freedom a head coach actually has to use their experience and expertise to succeed. I think a fine balance has to be struck, and I would hope the new board find that easier than the previous.
No, he specifically said money wasn't a factor. Surely you're not suggesting he was being disingenuous
Ofcourse I'm not suggesting that... It isn't as though he has a track record of lying through his tutty pegs
I love where I work but going for an interview on Monday for an higher position and more money. It's true and I hope I get it. I will leave some great people behind who I respect and class as friends but unfortunately they don't pay my bills.
