I have some Australian visitors visiting our company today and 1 has just said that he would like to take a shirt back to Australia with him, so i phoned the club to ask them if the shop was open and guess what its shut so i asked if there was anywhere where i could get a shirt from and the answer was nowhere, this just sums Barnsley up, why cant they have a little bit off merchandise in some office. They are going to buy him a Leeds shirt or Sheffield shirt now.

In fairness, the club did announce a couple of weeks ago that they'd be shutting the shop for a refit. It's to do with a new merchandiser. They're obviously going to do it now, the quietest time of the year.

Tbf to the club. It was said a week or two ago. The shop was being refitted and closed throughout the process. The new company suppliers will probably have got shut of the old stock. probably sold off to a trader. That has happened before.
Official merchandise has, as long as I can remember, been only available from the club. But i get the impression under the new supplier it will become available from other outlets.
But it does seem to be dragging on a little. As it wasnt going to be a major refit.
If the manufacturers weren't up to speed then that is a poor show.

Catch 22 for the club, closing the shop between seasons makes more sense than mid-season, but it’s also the busiest time for kit sales. That said not all clubs have released their kits yet, so even with an open shop we might not have had the kit on sale. I suspect the shop will open alongside the new home kit being released.

Just got a new logo a Peregrine and a sword , apparently a Peregrine nested on Wakefield Cathedral a few years ago and there’s a Wakefield sword from the battle of Sandal in the war of the roses .There’s a type of sword called a Wakefield ******* Sword ,dont know why . Club getting a bit of traction moving into Belle Vue with Trinity ,crowds apparently haven’t been bad for the league they are in , their media stuff during the season hasn’t been bad as well

Remember reading they were aiming to make the club professional and reach the EFL at some point.
