    The river he is referring referencing to is a place in Barnsley

    next to the Cemetery via Cemetery road
    A small stream leading to I believe what now is a fishing lake or pond.

    And indeed it is called /referred to as the Swanny
    No idea how the Barnsley Swanny is actually spelt
    Or why it’s called that
    Maybe a play on the actual Swannee river
