And laughing.. like Jay said this club appears to be run by people that don't represent the fan base.
The stars are 6 pointed, a symbol generally associated with Judaism. I’m not saying that’s significant, but as an artist, you really need to know what you’re doing when using such motifs..
Which forums as a matter of interest? Seen it on owlstalk - but they're obviously obsessed with us. Tried scanning a few other forums and not seen anything. (edit: just seen it on Donny Rovers too).
Opinions on the design aside, the thing I don't really get, is people saying 'the Club have at least done something different'. Loads saying it on the Twitters. Is it different? It's a replica of a shirt that's already been done. Not sure how that's different.
Definitely £40 last season for season ticket holders - I checked the confirmation email before posting.
We've got 5 pointed stars on there too. Not only do we have the Star of David, and a ****ing eagle reminiscent of the Nazi Eagle, the eagle has stars on it too. We're not just the only club to bring out a shirt with stars on it, it's got two different types of stars. It's an absolute disgrace.
Or snowflakes. Could have gone 5 pointed I suppose, but that would then be a gateway to Satan, which never ends well. The meanings of the 7-pointed star are all over the place, while Simply Red and Coldplay also both have songs about stars. All reasons why we shouldn't have done this.
It was only £40 last season if you were a season ticket holder and wanted to preorder one in advance without having the first idea what it would look like, as the offer expired before the shirts even came out. £48 otherwise. Also, £56-£58? It’s £50 isn’t jt? By my reckoning that’s a £2 increase or just over 4% if you compare apples with apples. Nothing like 40%. There was a postage fee if you wanted it delivering last season and for as long as I can remember so it’s hardly fair to add that on as well. It’ll be available in store at the ground - when they get here.
They were £48 but season ticket holders were entitled to an £8 discount if they pre-ordered before seeing them.
I hated it but now we are being mocked all over Twitter I feel like I have to defend our honour by saying how brill it is
Must admit, when I first saw people saying they loved it, I thought they were being sarcastic..! Getting mercilessly mocked everywhere and I can understand why. Fair play to the fans who will buy this monstrosity and actually wear it... in the public!
