You can't argue with the fact that our sponsor is much much closer to the third reich symbol than the examples you've picked out though.
Add a Swastika to any of the above and they instantly become more third Reich than US Mobile logo. The Swastika was the symbol of Nazi Germany , not the Eagle.
Made me laugh from Tykes chat The home shirt looks like something knocked up in one of the challengers on The Great British Sewing Bee and failed to win garment of the week. Its awful.
Any suggestion that the shirt is anti semitic or that we're going to be accused of being so is beyond ridiculous. For crying out loud. Talk about searching for things to get wound up about. The sponsors are American and have an American Eagle as their logo. The stars are stars, not stars of David. Google the Star of David and see what you come up with. It's a football shirt and nothing more.
Apparently, Lewis Hamilton has said he loves the new design and is going to get a home shirt to wear at the next GP. That's how sh1t3 it looks.
We can always hope the anti semitism angle leads to it getting banned though. Every cloud and that…..
So now I need to tell my 5 year old granddaughter to stop putting 6 points on the stars she likes to draw. Trouble is, how many points can I tell her to use that WON'T offend somebody somewhere. Ffs.
I understand that, I just think it's unfortunate that the US Mobile logo is very reminiscent of the nazi eagle, moreso than other eagles used in branding.
Does she work in branding/marketing? If not, then she can use as many points and draw as many stars as she likes. Saying that, I used to draw 6 point stars all the time randomly, and a lad i worked with (hippie, laidback type, supposedly) quickly snapped 'why are you drawing the star of David??', so who knows any more. That wasn't my intention but people see things differently, which is a potential problem with the shirt. I still kind of like it, I can just see from a branding pov it's not ideal.
It’s not even the Star of David. The star of David’s shape is that of a hexagram: the compound of two equilateral triangles. No hexagram, not equilateral triangles.
I'm talking about the white triangles at the top of the shirt - if they're not star of David-y, then I'm seeing something completely different. But anyways, it's just unfortunate and I don't want to blow this out of all proportion. I still like the shirt, I may buy it. Quite like the away shirt too, third shirt looks cool, though I still miss the yorkshire rose badge! Toby's a good lad though, badge reminds me of when i was a kid and we had it on the trainingwear or whatever it was called then
Just been on to order my 2 year old a pink goalie shirt, smallest size they do is 5-6. Why can’t this club do owt right? Only one I can get is the home one as a kit but I don’t want to be done for child cruelty.
I think you’ll be able to get a mini kit in away and third kits when they are available on the site. You usually can anyway.
If you google Star of David and look at images there's barely a single example that's a solid shape. They're all all two crossed triangles just like on the Israeli flag. What we have on our shirt isn't a Star of David.
That home shirt will become a collectable, the tweets had over a million views and orders will come in from all over the place by kit collectors. Club shops laughing.
