Seen a few comments on social media saying he played well today. Obviously it’s impossible to judge a player at this stage of pre season and especially against low level opposition, just looking for your opinions on how he got on from those who went to the game?

Standing next to our dug out today Devaney was at him most of the second half with instructions on positioning and pressing.

Taking account of the fact that he's not played a lot of football, it's the first week of pre season, and he was surrounded by youngsters, he did alright. His goal was more of a "just get it over the line" kind of goal than any individual brilliance but a goal is a goal.

He's fairly quick, had a decent goal scoring record previously, I'll look forward to seeing more of him

I thought he looked poor. Well off the pace and barely touched the ball. It's only pre-season, but Norwood for example looked his usual hard working self.

Marsh played in a number 10 role and pressed really well, forcing a few turnovers, but Shaw rarely capitalised.

    Took his goal well mind.
