How do you know we aren't doing that? Yes let's announce a new manager and players before the contracts have been signed so the fan base can get on their backs & call them liars.
How long do we wait before we give the new board a fresh start? Or do we always tar them all with the same brush? They surprised me a lot last year, Duff, Connell, Thomas on loan, Cadden. I didn't expect us to finish in play offs, we did, and we were extremely unlucky not to go up.
We don’t. We “judge them by their actions”. How can you give the board a fresh start when they keep repeating the same old **** time and time again? The fact is, we’ve now lost 6 of the 18 from Wembley. The spine of the team has gone, the glue that kept the side together? Yeah that’s gone too. What happened the last time we did this after a play of defeat? Oh yeah, we got relegated in what has become to be known as the worst season in BFC history.
Here’s another fact, that everyone has overlooked. Operationally, we are 2 weeks behind where we might be. All the clubs fault for reaching the playoff final. Small in brains, big in gobs. Jeyzus..
Who have we actually lost though? Mads - was going regardless Luke - fringe player Everyone else - loans, were never our players in the first place
6 won’t become 9, because we haven’t lost 6 players. We’ve sold 1 and the other 1 was offered a contract which he turned down. That’s 2. The others weren’t our players. If 2 becomes 9 in two weeks, I’ll agree with you.
We lost Isted, he was 100% our player until the club accepted the Duff deal. Well reported he would sign of Duff stayed. So that’s 3.
The club worked wonders at the start of last season, firstly cleaning up the mess that Conway left behind, then working to appoint Duff as manager, amongst signing some top players for peanuts, they get my utmost praise for all of that, & I will never forget the 2nd half of last season. But…… walking away from Wembley hearing the Wednesday roar as they no doubt lifted the trophy I had a terrible feeling in the pit of my stomach, despite the conversation with my Dad about retaining Duff & only having to add 1 or 2 strikers & Automatic promotion would be a certainty this season. I knew keeping Duff would be a tall order, because we all know how good a manager he is & is heading right to the top. I honestly thought he would stay & he would want to see the job through, but he didn’t, he jumped ship to the first club in for him, he was their 4th choice. The question I want to know the answer to is why? I don’t buy what he said in his leaving statement. He knew more than he’s letting on, he will have known for whatever reason that promotion this coming season would be tougher, probably because he the board won’t have matched his ambitions going forward in terms of recruitment. So how do we expect to attract any decent managers to the club? & now players are leaving, Isted, Luke Thomas, Andersen, possibly Kitching. It’s all falling apart, again!
No it’s not 3. He didn’t sign. He didn’t say he was signing. And even if he did, which he didn’t, you can’t blame the Club if he didn’t sign because Duff left. You need to be blaming Long Haul, if you’re blaming anyone.
Yes it is 3. BBC radio sheffield bloke tweeted saying he’s ready to sign but waiting to see if Duff leaves first.
But Duff left and Isted didn’t sign. By your own words, he didn’t sign because Duff did a runner. How is that the Club’s fault?
They should have negotiated a new contract after Wembley then shouldn’t they? Instead of only deciding to offer him an extended deal after Swansea triggered it. Tinpot.
