I’ve no idea how we will go this season but weren’t a number of people predicting a relegation battle this time last year?
Would you rather bring in a Premiership Academy keeper or one thats played over 200 games.Isted for example as played nowhere near 100 games yet and most of them were non league games and he didn't do bad did he. We complain when we sign young uns and it looks like we now complain at signing players older and more experience. I get some of the frustration born out of not yet appointing a manager but think on majority of signings are in the offing for months not the spur of the moment.
To be fair mate, it’s nothing to do with happy clapper or rose tinted glasses, it’s more to do with giving the lad a chance before writing him off,
Yeah but this doesn't look good Collins and Kitchen linked with a move away to Coventry and where signing a Keeper at 27 who's just been relegated from league 2 No head coach looks like Where getting someone from Derry City
Similar things were said this time last year after we hired a league 2 manager (albeit an up and coming one) and loads of players on free transfers. Tarn hall steps and that if we are relegated from this league in 23/24.
Oh do shut up. How about you wait til ten matches in when we're actually IN the relegation zone before you start blubbering?
Its Kitching not Kitchen and the only link to Coventry has been a message board post similar to the Wilder rumour on here
At the end of the day unless we sell to a very rich Arabian or sell out the north east and ponty end week in week out and each of those donate an extra 100 quid each we will never buy top quality players and sell to keep afloat. We need to cut our cloth accordingly. I'm not happy with situation either. So stop whinging and give any player or coach a chance whom step through the doors. Sorry rant over just being realistic. Other option for club is to over spend be another wigan reading get into debt and go bust. Only other option would be go and support non league team or be a glory hunter and support one if the top 6.
We’re all slightly underwhelmed at progress so far but honestly - can you really see us being relegated? We might not pull any trees up and wouldn’t put too much money on us being top two now, I was a lot more confident a few weeks ago, but relegation? I thought mid table was the worst we would do last season, and that was after the debacle of the Schopp Asbaghi season. Given the more stable footing we start from this season I honestly don’t see how we’d be relegated. There’s some utter bilge at this level and even if we implode massively I still can’t see us not finding four worse teams. Unless we go into admin and have points deducted.
To be honest I find it entertaining and a giggle. I never realised people knew so much about the football managerial and playing abilities of people they've never heard of, until I joined the BBS. I enjoy reading all the informed and constructive opinions, it's a pleasant way of passing time. I only wish my football knowledge was up to the same level.
