    No, not that BBC drama about Sheffield getting nuked, but this new Twitter alternative from Zuckerberg's mob at Meta. Anyone else signed up yet? Twitter was getting right on my t*ts since Space-Karen got his creepy fingers on it - so much weird algorithm stuff going on.....followers lost, bots appearing and my god, the ads!! It's like the bloody shopping channel.....

    Anyway. Threads. See you there.

    I walked away from Facebook 10+ years ago and only got an instagram account when my wife insisted on it. Going to avoid Threads until it becomes unavoidable...

    But given Space Karen's performance on Twitter, I am never going to buy a Tesla or go near one of his rockets...

    Weird this. I'd never heard of threads, and then 15 minutes ago, I got a notification on Instagram saying one of the people I follow had just posted their first 'thread'. And now it's on here too!

    Within 15 minutes, I've gone from ignorant bliss, to having my life taken over by it.

    I'm seeing how it pans out. I don't need another social media account in my life, and I certainly don't want bombarding with even more Facebook graph content. Bad enough as it is. Is there any deep link to Insta through the app, as I don't want that either?

    Dunno on the Insta thing. I must have a login for it, as it used that to register me on Threads, but I don't ever recall using Instagram in anger...

    I can't believe you've signed up for this. Zuckerberg is a lot creepier than Musk in my opinion. Admittedly Twitter is far from perfect, but it's practices are much less creepier than anything Meta.

    Joined and immediately considering deleting, just scrolled down feed seconds after joining and it’s already full of ‘threads’ from accounts I have zero interest in, bombarding the feed with irrelevance. I jus want to see who I follow nothing more is it so hard
