I actually have no view either way or opinion on his appointment. Sounds reasonable enough and good luck to the fella. I'm in the same camp. Failing to reach top 6 he goes. Gets in the top 6 he goes.
I've done some lunchtime research and googling, and I like the cut of his jib. Let's see how it pans out.
Their fans seem pretty gutted in the tweet from Tampa. Must admit, I can’t remember his playing career but seemed to do okay. On the face of it, seems he’s done a good job but I imagine the step up and change in surroundings could be challenge. Obviously I’ll back him, like I would anyone. Let’s hope we hit the ground running.
Take a peek on social media. That wasn't a veiled criticism of the appointment btw. I'll give him the same 10 games I give everyone else, before I pass any real judgment. Over to the player recruitment side of things for me now. He's had success in Tampa, FWIW. He's got plenty of football league under his belt as a player, and knows Yorkshire well. He's not got the EFL management experience many would have hoped for, but he's clearly not another Schopp/Asbaghi punt. I'd be surprised if he was our top target like, but who knows. Let's see how he gets on.
Me neither, I'll give the lad a chance and hope he does well but certainly won't get attached to him. I don't want him to come out with the bull **** Duff did about long term plans either. I'll start judging him after 10 league matches.
Passion..... https://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/manager-security-fight-sent-off-26769654 This could be eventful....
Good article I think a shutout streak is the time between conceding - ie a shutout is american for a clean sheet
Looks like he’s taking charge of their game on Saturday before joining us, so obviously still in the states.
Played for both Leeds and Sheffield United so obviously knows the area and also played under Macca at Wolves. It'll be interesting to see who he recruits as his number 2 - Markus Schopp cut a lonely figure on the touchline as he was unable to bring any of his own staff. Jon Stead (born Huddersfield) is an assistant at Tampa as is Stuart Dobson who hails from Beverley.
Typical barnsley. We pay peanuts so get tampa bay rowdies manager that no one has ever heard of. Wilder and moore were never in the frame. Smoke screen, that khaled should resign
Hmm, I read it in an article. Here's what Wikipedia says. Do they have a playoff to decide the championship I wonder?
