Causing a big threat to Europe? Many big players and coaches already gone, mitrovic and rodrigo the latest 2 looking like there off.

China was the same around 10 years ago. That imploded and a good few of the clubs no longer exist and the ones that remain are absolute dogger.

There's arguably more money in the middle east but whether such a small league (Saudi as example) can sustain it will be seen.

Wait until they buy FIFA and create a “World Club Super League”.
There’ll be sweet FA UEFA can do then and that’ll be the death of the Premier League and all the other leading domestic leagues. I’d be very surprised if they weren’t some of the money behind the European Super League.

Yes looks like the greed league #2 to me but if it does take many premier league talents it will only have a knock on effect to the other leagues.

Hope so, it will give the Premier League a taste of its own medicine and hopefully facilitate some form of collapse

They certainly holed the PGA below the waterline didn't they? It could happen - set their own world cup up.

I think this will pass tbh, a bit like China, at least in China you can go out for a drink without the threat of having your hands lobbed off, culturally they are 100s of years behind, the players will get bored imo

But with China only players were going to finish off there careers. Now with Saudi they seem to be attracting players in their prime

How much do these greedy bastds want. I dont think it would ever take off. The clubs **** themselves when the super league was muted after the fans revolted. And the premier league offering em no way back if it failed.
I have no problem with players choosing to play in the middle east. Let em fekk off. the sooner the better. The game will still exist in this country. It managed as well, without foreign players until the big influx in the 90s. more so when the premier greed league was founded in 1992.

I agree with you but it's same in every sport look at fury rather go through the motions in Saudi with a wrestler than fight for undisputed against usyk. All about the money.

But imo that's mainly involving individal or elitist sports.
    Golf
    Boxing
    Tennis.
    Horse racing
    Formula 1.
Some of the cricket has been attended by 1 man and his dog.
Team sports dont have the same appeal.
The world cup imo given all the bad publicity re human rights. Should never be even considered again by Fifa.

You're right, it's the black gold money that's luring them, it's imo certainly not the culture or way of life, even golf as sold its sole for the money, the PL had a monopoly ( or just about) in paying high prices and wages for the top players, it just appears the batton as been handed to Saudi for the time being,

What absolutely baffles me is that football - the authorities and players - have worked so hard to be inclusive and to stamp out homophobia and promote women's football equality and so on, but seem perfectly relaxed to get themselves off to a country that stones gays and women who've been raped. Just shows, the next time someone is preaching about progressive social rights that they only want people in the West to be ashamed and guilty.

Culturally I don't see it mixing with the Premiership footballer lifestyle. Kyle Walker wouldn't survive more than one party.......he'd be half the man he is

It's ok, they're all massive hypocrites - death to the infidels Monday-Thursday, Mosque on a Friday, off to Bahrain on Saturday for cocaine, prostitutes and whiskey.
