That’s it though isn’t it. If my 17 year old daughter was going dating a 50 year old man I’d make it abundantly clear I thought it was wrong to her, and I’d be very interested to know what his interest in her was. I wouldn’t be going to his place of work unless it turns out he was her teacher or sports coach or something. As ridiculous as it sounds, 17-20 year olds are able to make their own life decisions and often they **** it up, but as a parent you deal with you child, not someone else’s employer.

There is a defence that if the perpetrator met the victim on an adult website, that there is an expectation the victim was over 18. They could have lied about their age but would have had to supply fake ID/credit card to get around the verification checks.

At the moment, we don't know that his wife didn't also know what was happening. Nobody knows what goes on behind closed doors. He could have had her approval for his interests. Indeed, they could even have been both doing it together. Equally, it could be a complete surprise to her.

I agree, I don’t think you can stop them. I know when my parents didn’t approve of a girl I was seeing at 17 it just led to lies and deceit, because I was still seeing her.
You also can’t stop them creating pornographic content and selling it online. It isn’t the punters who are buying it who are in the wrong though either, excepting nothing illegal is happening.
