I used to play football in same team as Lyndon back in the day. Will have to find you and say hi, think we’ll be in that tent quite a bit during day.
The Big Figure. (I bet some of you will have to look him up !!) No seriously, has to be Buddy Rich all day long. He could make drums talk and keep a sensational rhythm all the time. But apparently he was a ******* to his musicians, kept them on their toes all the time and wouldn't let them slacken off.
I’m not sure if he’s classed as a top 20 drummer but Max Weinberg works bloody hard backing Springsteen for between 3 & 4 hours at a time
I’d go for Glenn Kotche or Pete Thomas but we live in a world where Buddy Rich has left a legacy, easily the most talented person ever to hold drumsticks.
