However one looks at things it looks to me that the shenanigans at the club are, over time, weakening said club so that gradually BFC is sinking lower and lower down the pyramid.
One of the main planks of potential improvement over time was supposed to be sensible financial management coupled with gradual improvement of the playing squad due to a 'buy young with potential, sell at a good profit so as to develop the team'. However, poor recruitment and selling, high turnover of managers, boardroom squabbling and financial disagreements are gradually making the club weaker. We are still selling players but the squad is again in flux and starting the season as an unsettled unit with more new players expected to hit the ground running and we have a manager who has again got to play catch up. We may also be heading for EFL punishment which will further damage the club strategically for the season, may well further affect finances and will damage the club reputationally.
We will have to see how things turn out of course but personally, after witnessing a good input by Duff last year, it looks to me like more strife and water-treading at best.
I know these comments are negative and they're not watertight arguments (there are some potential contradictions perhaps) but in the light of recent developments I am feeling somewhat fed up and the above is the gist of why.

The core playing squad is good enough for the top six. Midfield and up front we haven't lost anyone. It's just defence. McCarthy, Cundy or Moon will replace Anderson. If Kitchen leaves we'll have that lad from Halifax. Cotter is Williams' replacement. There will also be funds from the sales of other players.

No worries at this level unless Collins is an absolute numpty and I hope he isn't.

Cotter being Williams replacement is currently a big problem though. Any half decent team can get past him. Looks exciting going forward but shambles at the back at times, especially when he doesn't track back at all... Confident in Collins though, I dont think he's a numpty, certainly hope not as you say Dawson. Fingers crossed mate.

Gotta feel sorry for Collins after today’s news let’s hope he’s allowed to implement everything he wants to and isn’t dictated by the mistakes of the previous board

I don't think your comments are negative, I believe they are your opinions based on what you see in front of you.
My own opinion is that we are financially in a poor place and our recruitment is strong evidence of this.
We still have some good div one players which depending on our coach should be enough for a top end finish.
However anything can happen, the squad is absolutely weaker than last year so far...with Thomas and Mads been a major miss.
I guess we will be looking at the loan market to add more quality rather than what we have already.

Just out of interest, how many times have you seen Cotter play?

    Good point.
People wanted kitching dropped afore xmas. And I wasnt his biggest fan. Duff saw differently. And Stuck by him thank god. That's why we are fans but don't pick the team thankfully.

1 start 5 subs. 131min and 1 goal as you say. Hardly enough to base an opinion on.
Glad Glavin was given longer and kitching for that matter.

Kitching was my player of the season. Fantastic footballer and will be playing for a very good Champ side by the end of next summer.

I don't think there were calls for him to be dropped by most, it was obvious that league 1 was a much better fit for him, and hopefully now he's had more experience and is gaining more self control he'll hack it in the championship when we get there. As to Cotter, he seems really eager to play which is always a good thing, this season hopefully we'll get to see him more

Plus Helen, being an understudy to a really good player can simply mean the first choice is very good not that the understudy is bad. I'm looking forward to seeing more of him. He's barely had the chance to get his boots mucky yet.

There seems to be very little patience with our fans when it comes new signings , there are always instant judgements instead of giving someone time to settle in & get used to the club , his team mates , style of play etc & in some cases players are dismissed before they have even arrive at the club as I can guarantee if we are linked with a player from a lower level the player involved will be dissed on here , its as if no one is allowed to actually take an opportunity to better themselves .

Youre absolutely right mate. Only snippets. But there's literally no excuse for not tracking back. Especially when the lads at the back depend on it. Its just laziness - there was a reason Duff dropped him completely from the bench. Not ability or talent needed for that. I did say end of last season im excited to see him when Duff has had a season with him as he looks so dangerous going forward. Hopefully Collins will have that impact instead! His long throw looks potentially impactful too.
