Connor Sparrow. 5 clean sheets in 14 games and only conceded a dozen goals. Out of contract end of November, so shouldn't break the bank.
Money spinner from people getting his name on the back of the shirt. Bit like Michael Gash or Tyson Gay.
As i aint got a clue abart Goalkeeping other than the fact, they do very little an try to stop stop the ball going in the net, i'm out, somebody abart 6foot 6 an built like a brick 5hit house should fit the net well darn at Oakwell.
Don’t know much about him but he got 18 clean sheets last season. Bradford fans on Twitter seem to be sh1tt1ng themselves over the prospect of losing him so that’s always a good sign.
Don't know if anything in this Lewis rumour but I'd be happy with him. Highly rated by the Bradford fans and performed well last season. Only 1 year left on contract so shouldn't break the bank and we will have some income from the Collins sale to more than cover it. If not Lewis I'd be looking to loan the lad Rushworth from Brighton who was in the England U23 squad that have just won a tournament and who had a good last season at Lincoln. From Halifax too. Let's not forget Kieren Flavell in all this keeper talk - he was a brilliant prospect, England Youth, attracting rare reviews, for us until his last couple of years have been devasted by serious injury. If there's any 'method in our madness' around the one year Killip signing which in all honesty can't be really be seen as anything more than a punt it could be that the former Hartlepool keeper is a fall-back or stop-gap to hold the fort until Kieren hopefully makes a return to both health and the previous trajectory his career with us was on. If we do end up with Lewis and Killip we would have two keepers with strange claims to 'fame', Killip with the ball headed out of his hands incident and Lewis with one where he mistook the rugby markings on the pitch at Newport for the football pitch lines!
Another indication that Lewis might be amenable to a move - he did an "I'm in it for the long haul" interview when he joined Bradford SIGNING INTERVIEW: Harry Lewis 'in it for the long haul' - YouTube
Harry Lewis from Bradford City would be a good shout if we are looking for young players who have experience already. Another would be Callum Burton at Plymouth Argyle, who stepped up when Michael Cooper got injured half way through last season. Cooper was one of Plymouth's stand-out performers up until his injury, but he will be back this season and Plymouth have signed Hazard from Celtic as cover, so Burton should be looking for a move away for regular games. I thought that Argyle would sign at least a loanee keeper, but they clearly trusted Burton and the trust was well placed. Still youngish at 26 and with England caps up to U18 level. He would be my best bet and might well be available, as Plymouth now have three keepers.
