Just told one of them on Twitter… there is no FFP in League One. It’s SCMP and all it relates to is wages as a percentage of Turnover where if your owners are willing to put money in rather than loan it, that counts as Turnover. That’s why Piggies could pay Barry Bannan 18k a week in league one but are now touting 10 year season tickets in the Championship… https://www.financialfairplay.co.uk/scmp.php
It's nice to know our owners can spend money with no fear of reprisals and everything is transparent and above board.
No that was his brothers Luey & Duey. Huey gets the acclaim but truth is, he was off his tits that day on crack..
They are claiming it should take anything between 1 and 5 million to prise him away from Bradford. So one of the sides is deluded.
Is he the lad that caught the ball outside his box because of rugby pitch markings? Anyway, football league experience and a good option to compete for the shirt. We weren’t ever likely to sign a regular from league one I don’t think.
I don't get why signing Killip from Hartlepool with football league experience is a dog 5hit signing. Whereas potentially signing Lewis from Bradford City is the dogs b o l locks?
A great comedy pair. The players that committed the two biggest goalkeeping gaffs last season united at last. (If we sign him)
I guess the reaction from the fans of the teams they are coming from tells a strong story. Hartlepool fans saying he’s not great and not league 1 level whereas Bradford fans seem to be kicking up a bit of a fuss over him. As always, all we can do is judge them from what we see on the pitch ourselves.
Killip isn’t a dog **** signing and Lewis isn’t a dogs ******** signing. Both are in between and the people, me one of them, who said Killip wouldn’t be sufficient as first choice said so, I reckon - I did at least - due to him playing for such a poor side and not even being in the team february onwards. Lewis looks to only have one full season in the football league but did well at bradford. He’s highly rated there, they were a top six side last season and if he does sign that gives us two keepers with league experience to compete for the shirt, with Lewis the likelier to play. I’m not sure anyone thinks as strongly about either signing as you imply - and if they do they ought to reconsider. We are certainly not the only league one team shopping in that same pool.
Hang around, someone will no doubt attempt to justify it despite never having seen either of them play. Edit.....there you go
