Backtracks, lies, continues Tory policies and claims he is being sensible. All this lack of direction and pseudo Tory homage will come back to bite him. Labour would keep two-child benefit cap, says Keir Starmer https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2023/jul/16/labour-keep-two-child-benefit-cap-says-keir-starmer
So what is your solution to the current situation? Do you recommend another 5 years of tory rule or a change? Please let us know, as I am generally interested
Tory rule? I dont want Tories replaced by a different group of Tories. The guy is a barefaced liar and anyone who throws in the 'so you want to see the Tories in again' card is deliberately missing the point. I'll say some nice things about Starmer when he himself says some nice things. If all we can aspire to is to vote Labour even though we don't know what they stand for then it is a sad state of affairs. I would like a Starmer apologist to explain to me why the current Labour Party is so cool. I am genuinely interested.
Might as well. Waste of time appointing someone who will appeal to the ‘squeezed middle’ of accountants and hedge fund managers. The top guys of SMEs and all that. The ones with Audis on PCPs.
I see what you did there, turned my question around, well done. You answer my question then I will answer yours
Please explain what you think the similarities are between the conservatives and the Labour Party, I am generally interested
Its gonna be very hard to vote for him at the next election but what is the alternative? We need this shower out asap but the fact that they'll only be replaced by tory lights doesn't fill me with enthusiasm.
Do you honestly think that the Labour Party will be as corrupt as the conservatives and make sure all their mates get lucrative contracts? There is no basis for that, if this happens when they win the the next election then I will come back and apologise, but your assumptions are just that, assumptions. I would wager that if you think the hard left is the answer then we are in a for a very long haul of Tory *****
Interesting to note Angela Rayner's positive comments re Sir Keir in her Guardian/Observer interview today. It seems to me that this is a time for realism and not naive ideology.
Him, Reeves & Streeting are awful. I’ve never detested a Labour leadership like I do these. Just awful people in it to line their pockets. Labour should be about making the country a better place.
