Absolutely nobody can objectively pronounce this a good or bad deal for BFC without knowing the fee and who the replacement is (if there is going to be one). All I can do here is lament the loss of a good goalkeeper who performed well for us at both ends of the Championship and wish him well for the future.
The fact that he was a free agent in 12 months, confirms to me ,the board had no choice ,and needed to receive something ,rather than nothing to keep the club financially sound.
This is partly why I wanted him put back in after his injury. Worrying losing our best defender and goalkeeper but they are championship material and I can see why they'd want to play there. Best of luck Brad!
Brad says "Harry came in when I was injured and he did well and kept the shirt so fair play to him". A reaction from a good pro like Brad would say.He got the chance to go back to the Championship and most likely increase his wages. He if we didn't get a penny for him he doesn't owe us a thing.I feel even if he'd played at Wembley he would still have wanted a move back up the leagues, good luck to him.
Here 4 years, which is pretty rare at any club these days, don’t really recall any negatives from his time here about him. Thanks for your time fella, good luck in the future.
If you're gonna pick your favourite names two can play that game, 620 Bobby Brown. Also how do you not start with Flick Beevers alumni 1
Had 2 offers for Bradford keeper rejected as being way below his value according to Hughes, so I think we can assume we didn't get any where near the figures expected on here for Collins. We seem to play hard ball with the offers, same wi that Salford player and the other club just goes "no thanks". I wonder if we've thought of trying that approach.
I used to be in a band with Chris Daley, from around 1986 to 1995, (Ron Daley motorcycles). Flick Beevers was a distant relative apparently....
Simon Moore will be kicking his heels at Coventry now. Could do worse than a season-long loan, although he is 33.
Other alternatives: Hladky (Ipswich Town); Schofield (Huddersfield Town); Burton (Plymouth Argyle). Best bet would be Burton, who may have been displaced by Argyle signing Conor Hazard from Celtic as understudy to Michael Cooper, who will be back from injury. They have just spent a million on Morgan Whittaker, so will be wanting to recoup our Collins money. Get him in. Did well as Cooper's injury replacement for the second half of last season.
