So when they brought in Duff, Kitching, Connell, Cadden, Thomas (Bobby), Phillips they didn't know what they were doing?
There’s no doubt a good DOF would add value to the club but 2 things immediately to mind 1) we don’t actually know if Khalid does a good job or not and if he is actually doing a good job it would be wasted money. 2)It seems a DOF would cost around £100k so circa £2k a week would we rather spend the money on an unknown benefit or a player?
Maybe this guy (Below) has a major input. And others (coaches) contribute their thoughts. That's where I think conman failed and made his own decisions for whatever reason. Maybe the charges put against him will shed some light. Director of Sport Performance & Analysis: Matt Cook
Would have thought he would be more on the medical side TBH as opposed to recruiting/negotiating, that said you’re probably right in that there is probably a collective that input into identifying.
I do know there is a guy doing what James Cryne did in the past. And this guy was the only one I thought might fit the bill in Who's who on the club website. I did wonder if I was barking up the wrong tree.
I am not sure we fail to get signings over the line, there can be many reasons why a deal is not finally struck but we have made many signings over the years & we will make many more in the future , the trouble is that the rumour mill is always rife during transfer windows & some take every snippet of info as fact where probably the best rule of thumb is to wait for official announcements & take no notice of people who are allegedly in the know or just spouting rumours, there are plenty of wind up merchants put there .
