    Birminghams charges were announced in February and sanctions announced may.

    Our charges were only announced two weeks ago. Can see it rumbling on towards winter before we know.

    Though I assume the club are fully cooperating with the investigation, I very much doubt the two charged individuals will be. Might be wrong but I can’t see it being a quick process.

    Does this mean that any penalty is unlikely to come into force during the 23/24 season?

    We should all write to the EFL and remind them that Barnsley aren't allowed penalties.

    Depends whether it affects which League we're in next season. If it does then it will be announced around next April. If not it will be applied in 24/25.

    We got 2 penalties last season, one early on in the League cup, scored by Benson (I think) and one at the end of the season in the league, missed by Phillips but he scored the rebound off the'keeper.

    Yes he did and Styles also missed one v Leeds in the league cup. Benson scored v Crewe in the fa cup.

    We’d had three penalties early doors, just none in the league until Phillips missed one in a game which was already won.

    So if we're two points off Automatic it will be announced in April and f cuk us over. If we're mid table it will be carried over.
