If true...it will probably be paid in installments over a number of years. Still hope we can secure a decent experienced centre back (loan even) for the season.
I’d seen €3.5million, which is £3million. Either way for a division three centre back with twelve months on his contract, that isn’t bad business I suppose.
Dunno how accurate it is, but if it’s right I’d say that makes him the biggest transfer fee ever, for a League 1 defender? Brilliant business really, for a player in the last year of his contract. Not bad for a Club that ‘gives players away’
He wouldn’t go for less than £2m for me. We have absolutely no need to sell him. We gave him an extension with no resale value, because we don’t have anyone else like him at the Club. I’d want a ready made proven striker lined up if we we’re letting him go.
Doom an Gloom lifted hopefully especially with James, Casper, Dallas, Watters an O'keefe, coming in, just the replacement now for Anderson and we'll be in Prem this time 2025. C,O,Y,R.
Won't get much almost 33, people saying 2million are talking ******** be shocked if we got 500k. Although I think the rumour has less legs than Oscar pistorius
He's 32 years old, one of 5 strikers and in the final year of his deal. £300k & I think we've done ok.
Now they are in the Prem 3m is peanuts to them. I wonder if they get their Prem money in installations? Bet they don't. They'd be the first to moan if that were the case. But Barnsley can be shafted, it appears.
If we've accepted instalments from a club who've just been handed their PL riches, we're even dumber than we look.
Only pure guesswork saying paid in instalments, none of us have such detail of the transfer tbh. You could be right however and maybe that is how all transfer fees are paid
It doesn't matter how old he is,he's worth as much as someone is prepared to pay for him.we desperately need to keep him but I'd be saying 500 grand or do one.
