How much consideration did you give to Aylott's header against Man City in 81 from Banksy's cross (for #6)?
I think the best one I've seen live might be Cywka's free kick against Forest. Echoes of that Banks one.
Hourihane free kick v leeds in his last game better than banks's imho Vaz Tez goal in first few seconds Dikes thunderbolt v brum Dazzi B goal v Hudds Archdeacons blaster (cant remeber who against maybe leicester?) cup game I think Hammill v Millwall (fave goal ever) McCourts dribbler v forest Hourihane v forest volley
Because of the occasion I think. Barnard's best tekkers by a country mile but the game was over . Howard's was incredible drama. But yeah, point taken, and if i listed them again tomorrow it may be different. Lists eh?!
All good goals, we have been treated to some beauties thats for sure. I like all those mentioned. I would put Howard's scissor kick v Cardiff above his strike v Liverpool. Not for occassion, but certainly technique. McCourt Hammill overhead in a pre-season Parker overhead in about 82 (Shrewsbury or Derby maybe, I never remember). Neil Thompson thunderb4st4rd Big Trev v Many City. Big Trev v Brighton (estimates vary from between 19 yards and the Dove beer garden. David Currie's two on debut Clarke Oduor for occassion Ditto Paddy Sch(m)idt. Glavin's full pitch burst from his own area. Agnew clipped free-kick, Ponty end. Gus McDonald, Ponty end v Pigs. Think Devaney v Plymouth away was my favourite. Long way to go and really cheered me up. (His first weren't bad either. Although played in 2007 it appears to have been filmed in 1946) I could play this all day and almost get eager for the new season to start.
Neil Thompson v Stoke 1996/97 Ashley fletcher v Millwall (Wembley) Sam winnall v Walsall (play offs) Craig Davies v Peterborough (4-3 win away) Vaz te v Peterborough (4-3 win away) John Hendrie v sheff united away 1996/97 Barnard Howard v Cardiff overhead kick Hignett v Walsall- 1999/00 season lobbing keeper Redfearn many bangers the list could go on
The great cup run, the biggest Attendance inside Oakwell in my lifetime. Doesn't mean you were there of course, but as it's such a legendary game, I would have thought you could be sure if you attended or not.
Anthony Kay's 40 yarder at home against Plymouth, I think. Vaz Te 7 seconds... Crystal Palace. Brian Howard overhead kick.... home to Cardiff. Will think of many more in due course.
