Nah, I'd say weaker. No Wendies or Ipswich. Wigan coming down starting on negative points.

Played well I thought, room for improvement but could have easily scored a few more.

    Couple of observations:
    • Collins is very vocal and animated
    • Williams played in the right of the back 3
    • Left and right of back 3 go forward when they can, with centre of back 3 always staying back
    • Midfield play in a triangle that’s very fluid, at times its one midfielder behind the strikers with 2 in central mid, other times its 1 DM and 2 CM
    • Styles was booed by a minority at the start of the game when the team sheet was read out and again by an even smaller minority when he was announced MoM, with the majority clapping him. He played very well and deserved the award.
    • Lapata got a yellow for what looked like a too footed challenge, I’d have thought red on a regular game, other than that I thought he played well, not scared to pass out in tight situations
    • O'Keeffe looked ok, nothing to shout about but did nothing wrong either

Booing our own players, why do these morons show up, sad thing is they're probably ST holders and will show up to boo him every week, if he stays.
Must be one of you on here, come on......justify it, what do u hope to achieve. Idiots.

Didn't hear any boos where I was sat. Nice to have a manager wear a suit again! After the friendly I m looking forward to the season. If we keep Styles, Connell , Phillips and Kane we'll totally be bossing midfield!

Cotter very dangerous going forward which appears to suit how Collins plays.
Lopata will grow in to a strong defender this year, great signing.
Collins more attack minded than Duff.
Norwood is a beast of a player.
Styles best player in the league if he stays.
Kitchin looks confident and good choice for captain.
Retained quality in Kane, Cadden, Connell, Phillips.
Cole, Watters, Norwood will score lots of goals.
Keeper decent, better hitting it forward than playing out from the back.
Good friendly today can't wait for next week.

Whisper it but……Callum Styles could be this year’s Barry Bannen.

    But with more hair.

I meant it more from the point of view that everyone will be talking about him and, when we are live on Sky, the commentary will be all him, just like it was when BB was playing

Anyone booing Styles is an idiot. He went to play at an higher level as ambitious player would want to. Whilst he's still playing for us he should be supported.
