You are quite an upbeat chap. Do you find a change of name from reds in the community to barnsley FC community trust exciting? Come on, answer honestly.

Dunno whether I’d describe it as exciting, but some of the work that the Trust (in whatever guise) has done has been fantastic. Some brilliant initiatives across the community, and nit just football related.

Reds in the community is fantastic. Just getting more people to try things is so valuable. It's just advertising it as exciting I found a bit ridiculous. Especially considering the club knows full well that people are waiting on Khaleds big exciting news and then they go and market a name change for a charity as exciting

I'm excitedly cheerful, whereas you're excitedly gloomy when it comes to these sort of things....

I am glad that changing a name excites you. You should hang around outside churches. You'd love it

There’s a large church near me that has a big display board outside and they used to change the sign every week to something humorous. That was quite exciting actually to see what hilariously cringy Jesus-based thing they wrote.

What’s not to like? It’s a mutually beneficial agreement that further aligns the charitable arm to the club. It’s clearly something that all parties feel is for the betterment of the Trust. It’s great that people are looking into these things and analysing how we can improve.

I don’t think he dislikes it, he’s just saying that the adjective ‘exciting’ is over egging it a bit.

I remember that in 2007 in the first week of the year they had something that used the 007 bit to have some link to Jesus being like James Bond. I can’t remember the exact wording though. They had an X Factor one that asked if you had the cross factor and the cross was like an x from the X factor turned on it’s side.

Depends how you read it. The guy at the head of the trust thinks so for his department. Not you in particular.
