I really enjoyed Sunaks answer to the guy whose mortgage has gone up by £1300 a month. Talk to the bank. Gonna be a short conversation I don’t have the money to pay. will that change? no. bye then.
Annoyingly, his advice wasn’t wrong. If you find yourself in that situation you absolutely should talk to your bank. Extending the mortgage term is probably the correct thing to do in the short term if it’s an option too, as it will bring the monthly payment down. The bit he missed off is what he’s going to do to help the caller and others like them in the longer term. He just doesn’t care and clearly thinks it’s people’s own fault and screw them.
Too old to be getting 5hit off the Karen's and Keith's of this world that there double cheeseburger, large fries and full fat coke is a tad late
So despite never claiming a penny in owt, being in full employment and paying full NI since the age of 18 and plenty in taxes, I now find myself as an "economically inactive", "responsible for placing strain on the labour market, to blame for many employers struggling to recruit, and am part of the reason for high inflation". What a tw@t
I take your point but as was hinted at in a related post “meals an wheels” would be more appropriate.
I’m over 50. I work in Sheffield centre and it takes all my energy to jump out of the way of those Deliveroo and Just Eats idiots on their bikes as they come hurtling behind you at speed on the pavements and pedestrian areas. Two hats, the lot of them.
