    If I’m a Port Vale fan I’d be rubbing my hands for Saturday, our better players either left or unavailable the squad looking threadbare with no experience and physicality.

    Suspect this has everything to do with the future & reducing the wage bill rather than any transfer fee.
    That said, I would have kept him for the start of the season & looked to offload in January ... wasn't he top scorer in pre-season
    Wish him well, always put a shift in.

    This ties in with the doom and gloom post @shed131 posted. He said experienced players would leave to make way for younger ones to reduce the wage bill.

    Watters certainly isn't the replacement surely...Watters against crewe looked unfit and not interested...This is a crazy decision...Norwood is class and experienced. Best finisher at the club. He would be my captain

    I had no issue with Tedic per se ........ but I preferred him playing WITH Norwood, not instead of him.
    It's a League for big misters .......... Norwood was our big Mister.

    First thing Matty Taylor did when he arrived at Rotherham was told Woods he was surplus to requirements and he'd be out of the club at the first opportunity as he was the boss.

    Maybe Collins feels intimidated by Norwood and wants him out.

    This is peak Barnsley. Just as all the pre-season unrest had subsided, with everyone starting to get giddy about the new season & looking forward to setdi.

    Then this.

    They're fu¢king mental. The most effective striker we've got at the club. The Fritzls couldn't cope with him at Wembley. Stacks of lower-league experience and just the right level of $hithousery about him.

    They want their fu¢king heads knocking together.

    Not renewing the ST a couple of seasons ago was for several reasons. The ins and outs of players wasnt one. But now i can add it to the list for still not renewing. If we have an ambition i am bemused to what it is.
