Ridiculous decision from the club and Norwood on a personal note.

We need to now add some experience never mind another striker. My choice would be Connor Wickham.

None of this makes sense and I don’t get it. Why give him so many minutes in pre-season if we’re to then let him go 2 days before the season starts?

No way we’ll have received a decent fee and his experience and what he brings to the dressing room is invaluable, in my opinion.

Very poor decision from the club for me and I’ll stick by that.

This is bonkers. Absolutely bonkers. I think there must have been a fall out. Such a short statement.

There had better be something lined up or this is one of the worst decisions in recent history, or something major has happened being the scenes as I can’t see that Oldham paid major money for him!

I cant understand why he's dropped so low. He'd walk into most league one clubs

We've had some hilarious summers in the recent past, but selling potentially our best striker to a non-league club two days before the season starts is a good one even for us.

The lack of ambition shown so far is scary. I don't know how anyone can come out and justify anything the club's doing at the minute.

Get in Deeney or Waghorn. Plenty of experienced striker replacements out there who could do a job on a similar 12 month with a year in our favour contract.

He did look a bit chunky in one of the photos, maybe they dont think he is fit enough.

My choice would be Wickham, Waghorn or Rhodes

All 3 experienced and all 3 could do a job for us in this league

Let’s be clear on this - the player has clearly demanded to go and must have wanted to link up with David Unsworth.

It’s not a career or money move. And Barnsley clearly didn’t have to let him go.

He’s gone as he wanted to go there, and there only. For his own personal reasons.

You can’t keep anyone who ultimately wants to go.

You can’t bash the club for this. He’s gone to a National League side - bizarre, but his choice.

I was a fan of Norwood, and well before many on here started to praise him at the later end of the season, but ffs we have not just sold Lionel Messi!,,,,,..., we should be able to replace him adequately in my eyes, Also if he has been offered a decent contract(I.e. 2 or 3 years), then why shouldn’t he go and secure his immediate future..... he’s 32 and no guarantee of a contract in 12 month time.......time to chill fellow bbs members

    We can.

    We could have said no.

He’s played every preseason game and looked the best forward we have by a country mile.

This is a ridiculous transfer and sanctioning it is beyond crazy.
