    So if similar timeline to replacing Anderson (4 weeks) we will probably replace Norwood before the transfer window closes hopefully.

    It's getting boring now ANYTHING to slate the club,will someone explain how to get his visa etc done straight away and then tell the club for next time.

    Fun fact. I've been to Nimes. It's got a nice amphitheatre, a bit like Verona.
    In the good old days when we used to travel for work, I spent 2 weeks at IBM Montpellier. Not a bad gig.

    Barnsley will rank highly on the culture shockometer scale for the lad. Welcome young sir.

    BREAKING NEWS

    June 16 2024

    Luton Town are delighted to announce the signing of French centre back Mael De Gevigney from Barnsley FC.

    Mael played a huge part in Barnsley’s 2023/24 campaign, playing 42 of their 46 games which ultimately ended with them comfortable in mid table after a shaky start which saw them bottom of league one in October.

    Mael joins in for an undisclosed fee and has signed a three year contract.

    He represents Town boss Nathan Jones’ first signing of the summer window. The gaffer had this to say:

    “Obviously we were all disappointed that we were ultimately not good enough to stay in the premier league, when I came back to the club to replace Rob at Christmas I honestly felt like we could turn it around. In the end it wasn’t to be, but we saw in that last game against Fulham and making sure we didn’t end up on the record low points total that the belief is there for us to attack the Championship this season. Mael strengthens us and with the other players we have an eye on, we’ll be looking to push for promotion straight back up”.

    Mael added:

    “It has always been my ambition to join a massive club like Luton Town and I see this as a huge opportunity. I have ambitions to play in the premier league and for my country and I truly believe Luton is the club for me to achieve that”.

    Town have also been linked with another Barnsley defender, captain Liam Kitching, as well as midfield player Luca Connell. When asked about this, Nathan said:

    “They are good players but they belong to another club and it’s not fair to talk about other club’s players. But we are always interested in signing good players”.

    I understand Nimes Town and Nice Town are two different places, but then I did fail French (not Geography & Geology though). :)
